Our Voice-Over-IP (VoIP) products provide power for the convergence of voice and data traffic on the enterprise packet-based data network. IP telephones are directly connected to the enterprise's Ethernet and require a centralized power source to be delivered via the Ethernet. SEI, a participant in the IEEE task force that formulated the 802.3af standard for Power over Ethernet, is actively engaged in engineering vendor-independent power and battery backup solutions for this technology.
