 SEI's Midspan Power over Ethernet injector is for VoIP, Wireless Access Points, and other PoE applications. The Midspan is fully compliant with the IEEE 802.3af PoE standard also provide power to many legacy devices. With a midspan there is no need to replace your existing Ethernet infrastructure to realize the advantages of PoE.
The Midspan eliminates multiple cables to networking devices by injecting
power on the Ethernet cable, reducing. Installation costs as well as
desk and wall clutter. Midspans allow centralized backup power for all
connected devices which is less expensive, more reliable and easier
to maintain than individual devise UPS backup. SEI Midspans also provide
an optional SNMP and web interface to manage power allocation.
